  19. Hi,

I’m Iolanda, a Brazilian professional with a background in Business Administration and experience in digital products, customer engagement, and growth strategy. Over the past few years, I’ve worked in tech companies and financial institutions in Brazil, and now I’m starting a new chapter in the Netherlands.

English has always been part of my life, I studied it in school, used it occasionally at work, and more recently, I’ve been more intentional about improving it. Since moving to Europe, I’ve realized how important it is to feel confident communicating in English, not just for work, but also for everyday life.

My biggest challenges are speaking naturally in meetings and expressing complex ideas without overthinking. My goal is to feel more fluent and comfortable in international work environments, especially in roles related to product and customer experience. I’m also preparing for the TOEFL, aiming to score at least 80 points.

Just a quick note: I’m currently living in the Netherlands, so I’ll be watching the class replays a day later because of the time difference (it’s +5 hours here). Still, I’m very excited to learn with all of you and make the most of this opportunity!

    1. Nice to meet you and welcome, Iolanda!
That’s great. Where in the Netherlands? I have some students there as well.
It’s indeed super important to be able to communicate well in English in Europe.

I’m glad you’re here. My teachings will definitely help you overcome these challenges. Please share your thoughts after watching the classes.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
      Ho

    1. Hello, André!
Champion pode ser verbo ou substantivo.

Quando ele é um verbo, deve ser conjugado.
Então se for nas terceiras pessoas do singular no tempo presente, vira champions.
Lembra que acrescenta o S nesses casos?
Como em: he develops, she works, Brian speaks, Jessica leads, it means…

Mas se for outras pessoas, continua champion.

E quando é substantivo, pode ser no singular ou no plural. Dependendo o que você for falar.
      Got it?
