      4. It always takes 2 days for the board meeting minutes to be written/prepared by the secretary.
      *we use LAST to talk about the duration of something. Ex: The meeting will last 3 hours.
      (quanto tempo algo vai durar)

      *when we want to talk about how long it’s gonna take to do something, we use TAKE.
      (quanto tempo vai levar para fazer algo)
      Ex: It takes 2 days to assemble this machine.

      * we use “take the minutes” when the person is taking the notes during the meeting. (fazer as anotações para depois redigir/preparar a ata da reunião.)
      But after that, the person writes or prepares the minutes.

    I have a question: I noticed you wrote this sentence like that: “Jeff will take the meeting minutes today”, my question is about using :”Take” meaning “Fazer”. In this case, will be wrong if I use: Make / Do / Get?

      It’s not common to use “make” or “do” for meeting minutes.

      Note that it’s common to use different verbs in English (compared to Portuguese), just like when we talk about the age. We say “I am 40 years old” – we use verb BE and not HAVE like in Portuguese (Eu tenho 40 anos).

      Regarding meeting minutes, it’s common to use:
      – take: when the person takes the notes during the meeting
      – write / prepare: when the person prepares the minutes after the meeting

      If you say “GET the meeting minutes”, then you are talking about receiving them.

    1- I’ve never met anyone who enjoys writing meeting minutes.

    2- When we enter a meeting and the entire audience is on the same level, there is always a small argument about who will be responsible for writing the minutes of meeting.
